Terms of service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Arc. By using Arc you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are between 13 and 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@arc.app if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. The service

Arc provides AI-generated planning assistance and local deal recommendations. Plans and recommendations are generated by AI and may not be accurate, complete, or suitable for your specific situation. They are for informational purposes only and do not constitute professional advice of any kind (medical, legal, financial, or otherwise).

Deals and business listings are provided by third-party businesses. We do not verify the accuracy of business listings, deal availability, pricing, or service quality. Your transactions with businesses are solely between you and those businesses.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Arc for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system or data.
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from Arc.
• Transmit content that is harmful, offensive, or violates the rights of others.
• Abuse, harass, or spam other users or businesses.

5. Paid plans

Arc offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed through Stripe. Subscription fees are charged at the start of each billing period and are non-refundable except where required by law or at our sole discretion.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the in-app billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice to active subscribers.

6. Intellectual property

Arc and its content (excluding your user-generated content) are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

You retain ownership of the content you submit (arc prompts, notes). By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to use it to provide the service to you.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

Arc is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Arc and its officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of Arc will not exceed the greater of $100 USD or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

9. Termination

You may stop using Arc and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service, with notice where reasonably practicable.

10. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before the new terms take effect. Continued use of Arc after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
